Security guarding in Makkah: planning entrances and shifts

A practical Makkah guarding guide covering site access, visitors, contractors, handovers and service assessment.

Describe the site before choosing headcount

When requesting guarding in Makkah, identify the facility and describe each entrance, its users and opening hours. Separate staff, visitor and supplier movement. Floor area alone does not determine staffing: a smaller site with several active entrances can need a different arrangement from a larger single-gate facility. A simple movement plan helps connect headcount with actual duties.

Plan for changing movement

Record busy periods and supplier arrival times, including days with different requirements. Some temporary queues can be addressed through appointment coordination, while simultaneous duty at several entrances may require additional coverage. Do not count one person as available at two active posts at the same time. Review the pattern with facility management before changing the permanent plan.

Define the visitor journey

Agree who authorizes visits, how the host is contacted and where visitors wait. Provide instructions for missing appointments or unavailable hosts. Guards should follow the approved procedure and escalate exceptions rather than make decisions outside their authority. Limit records to the information required by the site policy, and define storage and review responsibilities.

Coordinate contractors and service gates

Distinguish approval of personnel from approval of vehicles, materials and the current work task. Identify the coordinator, work window, service gate and exit procedure. Security staff implement agreed movement controls; technical acceptance and material receipt remain with the responsible site department. Communicate temporary route changes before the next team takes over.

Use handovers and observations to improve operations

Hand over active gates, expected visits, unfinished tasks and equipment issues. Reports should identify checks, observations and the person responsible for follow-up. Repeated supplier queues at a staff entrance may suggest a route problem rather than a staffing problem. Supervision should review both coverage and the clarity of the procedure.

Request a site-specific Makkah quotation

Provide facility type, gate plan, hours per post, intended start date and supervision or patrol requirements. Separate fixed coverage from optional services and identify client-provided resources. Review Al-Khairy’s Makkah location and access-control pages before submitting a quotation request. Operational availability, staffing, equipment and startup are assessed and confirmed for the individual site; this guide announces no local branch or immediate start.
